It is a well-known fact that they are beefs and feuds in the hip-hop game. Some music lovers are wondering, is there a possibility that at some point in the future Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj will bury the hatchet and make peace. We have seen it done before, so, why not again?
For instance, after many years of tension, harsh words, and bitter diss tracks — Jay-Z and his fellow New Yorker Nas were able to not only end their verbal brawls but appear on stage together.
After an emotional interview where Nicki explained that she was hurt by a misunderstanding vis-à-vis Cardi B about “Motorsport,” the two ladies were seen hugging and chatting up a storm at the Met Gala.
The Trinidad-born diva was featured in a sweet photo that went viral where she was lovingly caressing Cardi’s baby bump.
The long-running feud between Nicki and Remy Ma most likely climaxed with the monster hit “ShETHER” — which ironically sampled Nas’ original diss track aiming at Beyonce‘s husband.
On the 2017 song, Papoose‘s wife threw everything including the kitchen sink at the “Anaconda” artist.
No stones were left unturned — Nicki’s figure, surgery, romances, writing skills, and her family life were all questioned by Remy.
However, not that long ago after Remy, who seems to have accomplished everything she wanted — (she picked up the BET Award for best female hip-hop artist, did great on the charts with Fat Joe’s “All the Way Up” and with her own song “Melanin Magic,” and is now expecting a child/she is slaying her pregnancy, and renewed her vows) — said she had plans to only focus on herself in the future and had no intention of going after Nicki again.
As for Nicki, she has been riding high on the charts with her own songs “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz” and on various featuring with Migos, 6ix9ine, and Ariana Grande.
She also had a very successful tour, and her fans affectionately known as The Barbz are sitting and enjoying the arrival of her new album Queen.
The two femcees from New York seem to have all going well for them at the moment.
And some music lovers are wondering if it is not the perfect time to close that chapter once and for all and make peace.
Not only would it be historical, it would also be a beautiful example for the millions of young ladies who follow them and adore their sounds.
