Iconic actor Denzel Washington has been married to Pauletta for 35 beautiful years.
Whenever the lovely couple makes public appearances, they are caught giving each other what can only be described as the look of love.
The Oscar winner recently sat down with PEOPLE magazine, and he was asked, how do you make a marriage work all these years?
Denzel said he makes sure his wife, Pauletta, is the boss and right at all time. He revealed to the publication: “I do what I’m told. I keep my mouth shut.”
Denzel, who is currently promoting his new film, The Equalizer 2, went to enumerate the actions and decision that lead to a lasting marriage.
The filmmaker stated: “There are too many things! What pops into my head: security, food, a beautiful home. The difference between a house and a home, it’s a big difference. You can buy a house, but that doesn’t make it a home – and not to say a man can’t make a home a home, but my wife has made our house a home, and raised these beautiful kids [John David,33, Katia, 30, twins Olivia and Malcolm, 27] and protected them and sacrificed for them, she did the heavy lifting.”
In June, the lovebirds celebrated 35 years of marital bliss, and this is how they marked the incredible occasion.
“We just chilled, had some dinner. It was kind of quiet,” the legendary movie star revealed.
