A few days ago, journalist April Ryan revealed that Barack Obama‘s former Attorney General, Eric Holder, had plans to run for president in 2020 against Republican president and former reality TV star Donald Trump.
Monday night, Holder sat down with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. The comedian was quick to show him the tweet posted by Ryan about his potential bid for the White House.

The TV host asked the Democrat: “Were you just taking the temperature of America just now?”
He responded by: “I was just looking to see potential contributors, you know. And cabinet members!”
The former Obama administration official went on to say: “Yeah, I’m thinking about it. And what I’ve said is that I’ll make a determination sometime early next year.”
He concluded by: “Trying to make sure that Democrats take back the Senate, take back the House and that we do well importantly at the state level so that we — we’re going to be picking half the people right now who will be doing redistricting in 202. And we have a real problem in this country with partisan gerrymandering, and so I want to make sure we elect as many people at the governor, at the state legislative level so that when 2021 comes, we have a fair redistricting process.”
The 47th Vice President of the United States Joe Biden is mulling the idea of throwing his hat in the race and so is Kamala Harris. The senator from California has been criticizing the White House at all given opportunity.
Bernie Sanders is said to give this another go, while millions are still begging Oprah Winfrey to change her mind and become the first female U.S. president.
The former talk show host has said many times that she has no interest in entering politics.
